What variety are they? They look like el santa or sengas.
I love a good strawberry where the stalk is easy to pull, is quite firm to the touch without having a hard skin and juicy.

You may not have boosted anything, but I bet your potato cam did. These phone cams are set to make pictures pop on small screens.

I wish I knew the answer to that - all I know is they are Driscoll's Organic.

Oh I'm sure. I've noticed it with red cars in sunlight too.

No worries. There are a couple of farms near me where you can pick your own and you only pay for the ones you weigh and take away and not for all the ones you've eaten while picking the others. Shop bought ones never quite taste the same but there are seven or eight regular varieties depending on the month and where they are sourced of which one or two are quite nice.
I used to love going to visit family in Lincolnshire in the summer and pick strawberries. Great times.

I went a few times as a kid but it's been a long time - might have to get that in this summer.

Followed by a nice pint of IPA at a nice country pub beer garden with a pub meal.

You should try the strawberries from Santa Maria if you are in California. I might be a bit biased but I tend to always buy the ones from there if I can. I find them to be tastier than some of the others farms in California.
